To all the singles out there, I know we have been hearing a lot about love… But fret not! Valentine’s day can be a great opportunity to spend quality time with your friends; the ones who have always been there to support you, the ones who make dark times a little less bleak, the ones who stuck by your side throughout life.

There are just so many fun things out there that friends can do together, and you don’t need a partner to do so! So here are some ideas (that I personally enjoy doing with my friends) to spend this ‘special’ day with your favourite ones. Take it as an opportunity to show your appreciation for them in your life!

1. Coast-to-Coast Trail

Outdoor enthusiasts can plan a Coast-to-Coast Trail to explore the lush greeneries around Singapore, or go for a cycling trip at Pulau Ubin for a mini getaway! Doing an outdoor activity is a great way to bond with your friends while burning some calories, and it also helps to unplug you from all the stress in your daily life. Tip: You can even go for a picnic after all the exercise!

2. Hiking at Telok Blangah

For the risk takers, you can also try navigating a hiking trail at Telok Blangah to explore colonial relics such as Keppel Hill Reservoir, Seah Im Bunker and even a Japanese Tomb! I am sure this will be a very memorable experience and it definitely helps to build stronger bonds among your friends.

3. Make New Friends

If you are up for a new experience this Valentine’s Day to get to know more people outside of your social circle, come for Poly Parcel’s Virtual Speed Friending event!

Valentine’s is a day to celebrate friendships as much as couples celebrate their love! So, don't be shy, join us for a fun and wholesome night of meaningful conversations to get to know people outside your social circle.

How does it work? Simply click here to sign up and we will match you with different people from different Poly and Courses in breakout rooms. If they pass the vibe check, you could even continue the friendship offline!

4. Treat Yourself

Those who love to be pampered can go for a massage session with your friends. I have tried Life Spa at Orchard Gateway @ Emerald and it was honestly quite a good and affordable experience. Using the favepay promo code, you can actually go for a 60-mins body massage at ~$30! (This post is not sponsored but I just want to share the good deal with you!)

There is also this place called G.Spa that I have yet to try but I heard many good reviews on it. What attracted me the most was the 24-hours facilities and free flow dining. So, head over to these places if you want to treat your body and mind!

5. Chill at Home

If you prefer to stay indoors due to the COVID situation, you can literally Netflix and chill with your close buddies because who doesn’t like that? There are so many interesting things to do with your friends at home as well such as baking, working out, drinking, card games, stayover… the list is never-ending.

Most importantly, you aren’t alone and spending quality with friends on Valentine’s day can be an enjoyable experience too!
